Gary Douglas, Principal

Gary Douglas is a Principal of MGI with more than 20 years experience in chartering accounting.

Gary began his career with Price Waterhouse, joined MGI in 1993 and became a Principal in 1998. He holds a Bachelor of Economics from Monash University, a Masters of Taxation from Melbourne University, is CA accredited and a Fellow of the Taxation Institute of Australia.

Gary consults to the SME (Small & Medium Enterprises) market and corporate groups in the areas of domestic taxation and corporate finance, specialising in structuring advice and transaction support (business sales and acquisitions) including due diligence. In advising on such transactions and performing due diligence reviews, Gary also leads the Melbourne Audit team and combines this experience with taxation expertise and a strong accounting and commercial background to provide a full range of services to his clients.

Gary has presented seminars to various groups on Taxation, Business Sales and Acquisitions and he is focused on applying his experience in these areas to corporate and family businesses.

His client base includes corporate groups, private and family businesses in the manufacturing, retail and wholesale sectors.
