BUSINESS SERVICES SENIOR (MELBOURNE)
MGI Melbourne is a well established, leading Chartered Accounting Practice with service lines including Taxation and Business Services, Family Business, Superannuation, Retirement and Estate Planning, Corporate Finance and Management consulting. We have a strong reputation for personal and professional development. An exciting opportunity exists in our Melbourne office as a Business Services Senior in our Emerging Clients Division.
Key responsibilities will include
- Managing compliance work including the review of BAS’, statutory reporting and income tax returns
- Tax consulting
- Self Managed Superannuation Funds (SMSF) – statutory reporting and income tax returns
- Project work including financial modelling and analysis
- Working closely with clients, managers and partners of the firm
Supervision of a team of bookkeepers and accountants including:
- Delegation and review of work
- Workflow management
- Provision of guidance and direction to professional junior staff and bookkeepers
- Training and education responsibilities
No two days will be the same, with a variety of work. You will help manage our growing client base across various industry sectors, particularly SME’s and in return will have the opportunity to develop your business advisory skills in a supportive and professional environment. We offer regular in-house and external training and have an established mentor program in place to ensure you acquire the right skills to help fast track your career to management.
You are a qualified Chartered Accountant with at least 5 years work experience in a Business Services capacity within a professional services environment (preferably medium – large sized). You possess superior interpersonal skills that have allowed you to build strong relationships both internally and externally, team leading ability and demonstrable skills in motivating others. You are an excellent problem-solver with a knack for explaining complex issues in layman’s terms to both your staff and your clients. You enjoy an environment that allows you to take responsibility for your business outcomes and team development. Finally, you are driven, ambitious and committed to serving the needs of your clients and the firm.
